In the past few weeks, following changes in the administration of the General Directorate of the Ministry of Intelligence in Kurdistan province, a new wave of arrests, summons, and threats against Kurdish activists and civilians has begun in various cities of the province.

Sources of the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) said offices of the intelligence ministry in Baneh, Saqqez, Sanandaj, Marivan, Dehgolan, and Kamyaran had summoned dozens of activists and former political prisoners by telephone.

Security interrogators have threatened to detain these individuals, asking them to end all their civil and political activities.

On 10 November, dozens of plainclothes security officers detained at least 19 Kurdish civilians in the Choman, Namshir, Najneh, and Kupich villages of Baneh and the Malqarani village of Saqqez.

Security forces raided and searched their houses illegally, confiscating some of their personal belongings.

The forces arrested these civilians while exerting verbal and physical violence on them.

In some cases, they even beat family members trying to prevent officers from entering their homes illegally.

Followings are the names of civilians and activists detained during these raids:

Mohammad Mahjour and Abdollah Mahjour in Saqez and Salah Pezeshki, Rafigh Pezeshki, Shorash Pezeshki, Manaf Pezeshki, Behzad Pezeshki, Karim Pezeshki, Haji Aboubakr Pezeshki, Loghman Pezeshki, Farhad Pezeshki, Farzad Pezeshki, Ahmad Pezeshki, Shokrollah Pezeshki, Arsalan Pezeshki, Kamran Pezeshki, Saeid Rashidi, Jamal Morovvati, and Osman Mohammadpour in Baneh.
