The Ministry of Intelligence in Orumiyeh and Sanandaj have released on bail Kurdish civilians Shirzad Mamandi and Zanyar Moradi in recent days.

On 28 September, the intelligence ministry of Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province, released Shirzad Mamandi on bail.

On 29 August, security forces had arrested Mamandi at his home in Oshnavieh, West Azerbaijan province.

They had taken him to the detention centre of the intelligence ministry in Orumiyeh.

Shirzad Mamandi comes from the village of Narziveh in Oshnavieh.

Separately, on 30 September, the Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, released Zanyar Moradi on a bail of 200 million Iranian Tomans – nearly 8,000 USD.

On 24 June, security forces had arrested Moradi at his workplace in Divandarreh, Kurdistan province.

They had then taken him to the detention centre of the intelligence ministry in Sanandaj.

Moradi comes from the Kileh Kabud village of Divandarreh, Kurdistan province.

The intelligence ministry denied both Mamandi and Moradi access to a lawyer at the time of their arrest.

The two Kurdish civilians have been charged with “collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party”.
