A Kurdish woman named Fereshteh Hosseini, who was arrested by the security police forces in Bukan, West Azerbaijan province, in late August, is still held in the women’s ward of the Orumiyeh Central Prison.

After being arrested, Hosseini was taken to the security police detention centre in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province. And after about a week of interrogation, she was transferred to the women’s ward of Orumiyeh Central Prison.

The civilian has been accused of “acting against national security” through “collaboration” with one of the Kurdish opposition parties.
