A detained 17 years old girl named Sonia Sharifi has been accused of “enmity against God” (moharebeh) in Ilam, western Iran, during the past few days.

Security forces arrested the young girl at her grandmother’s house in Abdanan, Ilam province, on 19 November.

She is currently held in the Juvenile Detention Centre of Ilam.

Reportedly, the security forces severely beat Sharifi during her arrest.

Security interrogators forced her to “confess” about making Molotov cocktails and writing slogans.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Abdanan and Ilam did not provide the family with a detailed answer regarding the status of Sharifi’s case.

During this period they refused to provide the young girl with legal counsel and said she was accused of “enmity against God” (moharebeh).
