Two death row prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement for execution today in Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj, Alborz Province.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that one of the prisoners is Bagher Mohammadi, a 40-year-old civilian from Kuhdasht, Lorestan Province, and the other is an Afghan civilian whose identity remains unknown.
Mohammadi was arrested nearly a decade ago on drug-related charges and sentenced to death.
