Ali Rasouli, a 32-year-old kolbar from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was fatally shot by Iranian border guards in the Dopazeh border area of Sardasht, West Azerbaijan Province, on 11 August.
The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that Rasouli was shot when border guards fired at a group of kolbars at close range and without warning.
Rasouli, a father of one, was originally from the village of Kuran in Mahabad and lived in the city of Nalas in Sardasht County.
