Following the new wave of arrests of Kurdish civilians, four other civilians have been arrested by security forces in the cities of Piranshahr and Sanandaj.
On July 12, 2020, security forces arrested two Kurdish civilians Adel Sheikhe and Diako Tara in the villages of Pasveh and Keleh Sipan respectively in Piranshahr and transferred them to an unknown location.
On July 11, another civilian of Piranshahr named Ali Zavari was also arrested and transferred to an unknown location.
However, no details have been released about the reason for the arrests and whereabouts of these people.
According to another report received on July 4, 2020, security forces arrested a Kurdish civilian Seyyed Kamel Sheikh Ahmadi in Sanandaj and transferred him to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj.
According to statistics compiled by KHRN, at least 20 Kurdish civil society activists and civilians have been detained by security forces in Eslamabad e Gharb of Kamyaran in Sanandaj, Marivan, Naqadeh, Sanandaj, Piranshahr, Oshnoyeh and Mahabad since the beginning of July.
