On Sunday, January 03, Javanmir Moradi, a labour activist and a member of the board of directors of the Free Trade Union of Iran, was arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location, an informed source told the Kurdistan human rights network (KHRN).

According to the Free Trade Union of Iran, this industrial electricity worker was detained by security forces after a personal phone call to visit a work project on the outskirts of Kermanshah.

Security forces handcuffed the activist in his family home and, after inspecting his home, transferred him to an unknown location.
