In the new wave of widespread detentions of Kurdish citizens and activists, yesterday at 5 AM, a military convoy of Sarvabad IRGC forces raided the homes of three Kurdish citizens in the village of Selin in Hawraman and detained the 31-year-old Akram Adwai and the 24-year-old Siamak Adwai.

In an interview with the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), the relatives of the two Kurdish civilians confirmed the news while stating that the IRGC intelligence forces did not show any arrest warrants and resorted to violence when detaining the afore-mentioned civilians.

According to these sources, Akram Adwai and Siamak Adwai were transferred to an unknown location after their arrest, and the reason for their detention has not been announced yet. Armed agents of the IRGC forces also resorted to breaking the door and windows of the family home of a former political prisoner named Fardin Adwai in order to arrest him, but failed to detain him due to his absence.

In the past few days, at least 20 people have been taken into custody in a new wave of detentions of Kurdish citizens, students, and activists in the cities of Karaj, Mahabad, Rabat, Marivan, and Sarvabad. 12 of these people were detained by the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and were transferred to the detention centers of this security institution in various cities across the country.
