About a month after the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) arrested Kurdish civilians Mohammad Khaledi and his son Ahmad Khaledi, their situation and whereabouts still remain unknown.

In early October, the IRGC intelligence forces arrested the two civilians in the village of Segrik in Chaldoran, West Azerbaijan province, and took them to an undisclosed location.

The father and son, 16, have been denied visits by and contact with their family ever since.

Reportedly, the family’s daughter joined a Kurdish opposition party a few years ago.

Since then, security forces have been pressuring members of the family for her return.
