The Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) arrested Kurdish Yarsani activist Kaveh Salimi at his home in Kermanshah, western Iran, on 5 March.

Security agents searched Salimi’s house and confiscated some of his personal belongings, including his mobile phone and tablets.

In recent weeks, the civil rights activist was summoned by IRGC’s intelligence agency in Kermanshah and interrogated, Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

The family of Salimi, who is a father of two, does not have any information on the reason for his detention and his whereabouts.
