Early Monday morning, on July 3, 2017, two prisoners, were transferred to solitary confinement of Orumiyeh Central Prison in preparation for the implementation of their death sentences, on Monday, July 3. All the two prisoners were convicted of murder and sentenced to Qisas (retribution in kind).
According to information are obtained by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN),The two prisoners who have been transferred to solitary confinement identified as Alireza Karimi and Firouz Eskandari from Main Doaab.
The two detainees were transferred from wards one and two to solitary confinement and prison officials said that in case they can not obtain the consent of the victim’s family, they will be hanged tomorrow morning.
The implementation of death sentences has resumed, once again, after the holy month of Ramadan, in various prisons in Iran.
