On Thursday, March 15, 2018, one of the detainees arrested during the protest rally in condemnation of the Turkish military Attack on Kurds in Afrin in Kamyaran was released. But there is still no information available on the fate of other detainees.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that on March 12, 2018, security forces arrested at least 8 civil activists in Kamyaran during a protest rally against the Turkish army’s attack on Afrin.

One of the detainees, Asoo Batmani,(the cultural activists) of Kamyaran, who was transferred to the Intelligence Detention Centre of Sanandaj after his home being searched, was temporarily released on Thursday, March 12, on the bail of thirty million Toman.

There is still no news about the fate of Mansour Seifi and five other detainees who have been transferred to Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Centre despite the follow-up of their families.

Following the protest rally against the Turkish military attack, A group of civil activists have been arrested in a number of cities in Kurdistan such as Marivan and Kamyaran.

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018, Nine of the detainees were released on bail but there is no information available on the fate of other detainees.
