Kurdish civilian Behzad Hashemi-Asl has lost his life in Khoy Hospital, on 8 February, after being seriously injured during the overturning of his car due to a shot fired at its tire by Iranian law enforcement forces.
A source confirmed the news to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) and said: “On Saturday night, 6 February, military forces chased the businessman’s car on Khoy-Mako road, and his car overturned after they hit its tire with a bullet.”
According to the source, Behzad Hashemi-Asl was severely injured and fell into coma as a result of the incident. He died on 8 February after being hospitalized for two days.
The 32-year-old Behzad Hashemi-Asel was from the village of Bahik in Salmas and the father of three.
