Iran has carried out the death sentence of a prisoner named Mosayeb Faraji in Dizel Abad Prison, in the western province of Kermanshah, on 13 February.

An Iranian court had sentenced Faraji to “retribution in kind” (qisas) in accordance with the Iranian Islamic Penal Code on the accusation of “premeditated murder”.

Security forces arrested the civilian about two years ago on murder-related charges.

Faraji was 34 years old and from the village of Cheqa Kabud in Eslamabad-e Gharb, Kermanshah province.

The prisoner’s brother, Heidar Faraji, has also been in Dizel Abad Prison for about 10 years, accused of “murdering” a member of his family.
