” Two children, Hemen Adwai and Kiomars Adwai from the village of Slen of Hewraman, Kurdistan province, were released from the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Centre in Sanandaj on August 13, a reliable source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
They were detained by security forces on July 18.
On July 18, the two students were arrested in Sarvabad and Marivan cities after being summoned to the Intelligence Unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Gaurd Corps (IRGC) and transferred to the IRGC detention centre in Sanandaj.
Slen village is located in Hewraman area of Sarvabad city, Kursdistan provicne. Every year the intelligence service and IRGC put pressure on the villagers under the pretext of the presence of Kurdish opposition parties in this mountainous area. In recent years, more than 30 people have been summoned, interrogated and arrested in this connection.
