Kurdish civil rights activist Voria Delangiz who had previously been sentenced by the Marivan Criminal Court to four months in prison and 24 lashes for “disturbing public order,” was sent to prison, on Sunday, August 09.

The trial of this activist was held on March 4.

Voria Delangiz was arrested in September 2017 after being summoned to the Marivan Intelligence Office and was released on bail after 46 days. He had previously been acquitted of three other charges brought forward against him at the Marivan Criminal Court.
