Iranian border guards shot and killed Ali Ghaderi, a 50-year-old kolbar, in the border areas of Marivan, Kurdistan Province, on 18 December. The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that a group of kolbars were targeted by border forces without prior warning, resulting in Ghaderi's death. Ghaderi was a father of four from the village of Zanuri who lived in Marivan.

Yesterday, security forces simultaneously arrested five Kurdish civil rights activists from Saqqez, Armia Ranjbari, Ali Ghaderi, Hemen Karimi, Hiwa and Voria Amini, and transferred them to an unknown location, informed sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
