On Wednesday, Nov 1, 2017, a death row prisoner was executed in the central prison of Orumiyeh. He was reportedly transferred from ward 1&2 to solitary confinement in Orumiyeh Central prison in preparation for execution a day before his execution. Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) identified the executed detainee as Tohid Mohammad Baqerloo from Khoy.
