A Kurdish citizen, Rashid Sharafian from Palangan village (Kurdistan, Iran), has been in temporary detention in the Sanandaj Intelligence detention centre since his arrest in March 2017.
Rashid Sharafian a member of the committee to organise the Nowruz gathering in Palangan village have been arrested on 24 march 2017 by security forces in Sanandaj. He was able to contact his family a few times and announced his detention in the Sanandaj Intelligence detention centre,a local source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
After many visits of Sharafian’ family to the Ministry of Intelligence in Sanandaj and Kamyaran office, they have been told that the main reason for his arrest is his connections with the Kurdish opposition group.
One of the children of Sharifian is a member of Kurdish party and over the past years, the members of Kurdish opposition group families summoned to the security agencies and threatened and interrogated continuously ,the source said.
