Security forces have arrested two Kurdish civilians, Aram Sadeghi and Arman Nowshadi, in the cities of Sanandaj and Divandarreh in Kurdistan Province in recent days.
Nowshadi, from Divandarreh, was arrested without a warrant at his home in Divandarreh on 16 September.
Sadeghi, from Sanandaj, was arrested outside his shop in Sanandaj on 10 September by agents of the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and taken to the IRGC’s Shahramfar detention facility in the city.
Both detainees have been denied access to legal representation and contact with their families since their arrest, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
Over the past 10 days, at least 23 Kurdish civilians and activists have been detained by the Ministry of Intelligence and the Intelligence Organisation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the cities of Mahabad, Oshnavieh, Piranshahr and Bukan in West Azerbaijan Province, and Marivan, Sarvabad, Divandarreh, Baneh and Sanandaj in Kurdistan Province.
Additionally, 14 members of the Kurdistan Teachers’ Union have been summoned to the Public and Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj.
