He was provisionally released on bail after several weeks in detention.

During his detention, Amini was denied the right to meet with his family and access to a lawyer.

There is no information about the charges brought against him.

The Kurdish activist was previously arrested by security forces on 14 March 2018 during a protest rally in Bukan against the Turkish army’s attack on Afrin and was released on bail on 17 April 2018.

In June 2018, he was sentenced to six months in prison by the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Orumiyeh on charges of “propaganda against the state”.
