Upon failing to detect unauthorised items in these wards, the special forces have destroyed and seized personal belongings of detainees, including foodstuffs, television sets, headphones, etc., all of which were purchased at the expense of the detainees themselves. These forces have also seized the handicraft products such as slippers, chains, necklaces, etc.made by the prisoners who sold them to meet their own needs and even their families in some cases. It is worth mentioning that the prison’s special forces inspect the wards for prisoners of conscience and political prisoners under various pretexts once a month while destroying and seizeing the prisoners’ personal belongings.
