A Kurdish civilian named Ahad Najar Chirei has been transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison after being interrogated in a security detention centre of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.

On 24 August, the Intelligence Organisation of the IRGC arrested the civilian at his hometown, Delour Darband village of Orumiyeh, and took him to the IRGC detention centre at Razhan base in the city.

About two weeks ago, he was transferred to the quarantine ward of Orumiyeh Central Prison.

Later on 28 September, he was taken to ward 3 of the prison.

Ahad Najar Chirei has been charged with “collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party”.
