Ahmad Tarman, a 50-year-old civilian from Mahabad, West Azerbaijan Province, was fatally shot by Law Enforcement Forces in the early hours of 24 July in the city.

The forces raided Tarman’s home in the Bagh-e Siseh neighbourhood of Mahabad and, after a chase through the streets of the neighbourhood, shot him in the head, causing his immediate death, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

Tarman’s body has been taken to the Mahabad Forensic Medicine Department, and there is no information yet on the release of his body to his family.
