The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has released on bail Kurdish civilian Omid Sarafraz after three months in detention in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, on 10 October.

Sarfaraz, from Divandarreh, Kurdistan province, was released on a bail of 800 million Iranian Tomans – nearly 32,000 USD.

On 9 August, the Intelligence Organisation of the IRGC arrested the civilian in Divandarreh and took him to the IRGC’s Shahramfar base in Sanandaj.

He was denied access to a lawyer and family visits during his detention.

Reportedly, Omid Sarfaraz has been charged with “collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party”.
