Habib Rezaei, a 52-year-old kolbar who was seriously injured by gunfire from Iranian border guards in the border area of Nowsud, Kermanshah Province, is currently in a critical condition in the intensive care unit of Taleghani Hospital in Kermanshah, Kermanshah Province.

Rezaei, from Javanrud, Kermanshah Province, was critically injured on 26 November after a bullet fired by border guards at close range and without warning struck his spine, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

In the past week, Iranian border guards have fatally shot three kolbars, including a child named Farough Alizadeh, along with Asaad Hassanpour and Yavar Veysi, and wounded 15 other kolbars in the border areas of Baneh in Kurdistan Province and Nowsud in Kermanshah Province, according to KHRN statistics.
