Three kolbars, identified as Parviz Ghaderi, Mozaffar Asad-Rokh, and Salah (surname unknown), have been wounded in recent days by gunfire from border guards in the border areas of Baneh, Sarvabad and Marivan in Kurdistan Province, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.

On 4 June, Ghaderi, a 29-year-old kolbar from Saqqez, was shot and seriously wounded by three bullets in the leg in the Nirvan border area of Baneh and taken to medical facilities in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, for treatment.

A day earlier, on 3 June, Asad-Rokh, 44, from the village of Chavag in the Savji border area of Marivan, and Salah, from the village of Halujan in Sarvabad, were injured by border guards’ gunfire at the Tateh border pass in Hawraman.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, in May, six kolbars – Hemin Ahmadi, Jalal Sohrabi, Ata Rostampour, Salar Ahmadi, Vahed Ghaderpour and Sina Rasoulzadeh – were killed by Iranian border guards’ gunfire in the border areas of Saqqez, Baneh, and Sardasht in the Kurdistan and West Azerbaijan provinces.
