Today, Iranian security forces arrested Seyvan Ebrahimi, a member of the board of directors of the Nozhin Socio-Cultural Association, in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province.

Ebrahimi was arrested when he went to the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj to pursue the case of his imprisoned wife, Zahra Mohammadi.

Mohammadi is currently serving a five-year prison sentence in the women’s ward of the Juvenile Detention Centre in Sanandaj.

She is the director of the Nozhin Socio-Cultural Association and was imprisoned over her activities, including teaching the Kurdish language and literature.
