Detained civilians Sajjad Moradivandan, Saman Moradivandan, Peyman Yasmi, and Amir Hossein Namdarpour went on a hunger strike on 24 February, protesting against the state of uncertainty regarding their situation and harsh detention conditions in Ilam Central Prison, in western Iran.
So far, prison authorities have ignored the demands of these detained civilians, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
Iranian security forces arrested Sajjad Moradivandan near Masjed Soleyman, Khuzestan province, on 31 January and transferred him to the detention facility of the Ministry of Intelligence in Ilam.
His brother Saman Moradivandan and Amir Hossein Namdarpour were arrested in Abdanan, Ilam province, on 2 February.
In addition, on 8 February, security forces arrested Peyman Yasmi and took him to the detention centre of the Ministry of Intelligence in Ilam.
After initial interrogations, the four civilians were transferred to the temporary detention facility of Ilam Central Prison in the past few days.
