Iranian security forces detained Kurdish civilian Fereydoun Marabi and his son Rebwar Marabi on 14 March in the village of Marab in Kamyaran, Kurdistan province.
Security forces raided the civilians’ home in the village of Marab to arrest Rebwar Marabi. Instead, they arrested his father after not finding him at home, Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
The detained father was taken to a security detention centre in Kamyaran and was released a few hours later after security forces arrested his son.
There is no information on the fate of Rebwar Marabi, who remains in custody.
