In the past few days, two children named Hemen Adwai and Kiomars Adwai from the village of Celine of Hewraman,Kurdistan province, were arrested by the Intelligence Unit of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and transferred to the Shahramfar Detention Center in Sanandaj, a reliable source told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).
“On July 18, the two children from the village of Selin Hewraman were arrested in Sarvabad and Marivan cities after being summoned to IRGC intelligence unit and transferred to the IRGC detention centre in Sanandaj” A source close to the families of the two children told KHRN.
According to this source, the IRGC has stated that Hemen and Kiomars Advaei had been arrested for cooperation with one of the Kurdish opposition parties.
Celine village is located in Horaman area of Sarvabad city and every year the intelligence service and IRGC put pressure on the villagers under the pretext of the presence of Kurdish opposition parties in this mountainous area. In recent years, more than 30 people have been summoned, interrogated and arrested in this connection.
