According to reports received by the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, On Friday, Aug 04, three Kurdish labourers named Masoud Taleb Zadeh, Seyed Jalal Azizian and Salar Morad Pour from Gol Sandous Village lost their lives due to gas leaking while repairing a water pipe in a well.

According to eyewitnesses, first a labourer gets bogged down and then two other Labourers went inside the well to save him, but all three labourers lose their lives due to excessive gas.

Moreover, On Sunday, Aug 5, a Labour named Taimor Malaie fell from the 10th floor of a building during the welding in Tehran and lost his life.

Timur Malaie a 24-year-old man resident of Sanandaj, was married with one child.

Work-related accidents caused the deaths of hundreds of Labourers each year. According to Labourer’s Defence Resource, two thousand Labourers out of one million and 400 thousand Labourers in Iran, particularly 50% of construction workers, die each year.

Lack of training, skills, safety and health equipment, standards and equipment, are major causes of accidents of Labourers in Iran.
