Mohammad Saleh Shokri, a teacher from Saqqez who had been arrested by security forces of Saqqez on Oct 7, 2018, was released on bail on Sunday.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), Mohammad Saleh Shokri (with 24 years of teaching experience at various schools in Saqez), was arrested by the security forces on Oct 7, 2018, and transferred to the Intelligence Detention Centre.

He was transferred to the Saqqez Prison after 10 days of interrogation at the Intelligence Detention Centre but he was temporarily released on Sunday, October 28 on a bail of 75 million Tomans until his trial is being held.

This teacher was previously detained by security forces in January 2009 on charges of cooperation with a Kurdish party but he was released on bail after 3 weeks.

It is worth mentioning that, following the strike and the sit-in of teachers on Oct 14 and 15, the Intelligence Bureau in Saqqez has summoned and interrogated six teachers called Tahir Ghaderzadeh, Suleiman Abdi, Seyyed Ali Hosseini, Ahmad Ghaderi, Hamid Yazdani and Khalid Abdollahi.
