Security forces arrest Kurdish civil rights activist in Sanandaj

Security forces raided the home of Kurdish civil rights activist Asaad (Masoud) Mohammadi in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province, on 24 July and arrested him without a warrant. The activist was transferred him to an undisclosed location. According to sources, security forces confiscated some of Mohammadi's personal belongings during a search of his home. Details about the charges against Mohammadi and his current whereabouts remain unknown.
