Prisoner Saeid Biranvand was executed for murder-related charges on 13 August in Parsiloun Prison in Khorramabad, Lorestan Province. Iran today executed prisoner Ahad Hashemi on drug-related charges at Hamadan Central Prison in Hamadan Province. Hashemi, from Harsin, Kermanshah Province, was moved to solitary confinement for execution on 7 August.
