Two Kurdish civilians Mikaeil Menbari and Aram Moradian, have been released on high amounts of bail from Sanandaj Central Prison in recent days.

On 2 October, Menbari was released on a bail of 700 million Iranian Tomans – nearly 28,000 USD – after being held in detention for three and a half months.

On 15 June, security forces arrested Menbari in Sanandaj, Kurdistan province.

He was transferred to the prison in recent days after completing his interrogation.

Separately, on 3 October, Aram Moradian was released on a bail of 500 million Tomans – nearly 20,000 USD – after five months in detention.

He was arrested by security forces on 28 April.

The two civilians are accused of “collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party”.
