Iran has temporarily released Kurdish civilians Farough Soleimanpour, Massoud Soleimanpour, Diyar Soleimanpour, and Mohsen Soleimani from Mahabad Prison in West Azerbaijan province in the past two days.
The civilians who come from Khor Khoreh village of Mahabad were released on bails amounting to 200 million Iranian Tomans – nearly 8,000 USD – each.
Security forces had arrested these civilians in the Khor Khoreh village on 9 October.
They were then transferred to the central detention facility of the Ministry of Intelligence in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan province.
During their detention, there were denied the right to family visits or having a lawyer.
After their interrogation in the detention centre of the intelligence ministry, they were transferred to Mahabad Prison in the past few days.
The four civilians are charged with “collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party”.
