Security forces today arrested former Kurdish political prisoner Salah Osmani at his home in Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan Province, and took him to an undisclosed location.
Osmani was arrested without a warrant during a raid on his home at 02:00 local time, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
During the search of his family home, security forces confiscated several personal items belonging to Osmani.
Osmani was previously arrested in 2008 on charges of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party, and was released after spending around four years in prisons in Orumiyeh, West Azerbaijan Province, and Yazd, Yazd Province.
In mid-August 2021, he was rearrested by security forces and released on bail from Naqadeh prison a few days later.
