A young kolbar from Saqqez, Kurdistan Province, identified as Vahed Ghaderpour, was fatally shot today by border guards in the Hengeh-ye Zhal border area of Baneh, Kurdistan Province, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned.
The incident took place early this morning when a group of kolbars in the Hangeh-ye Zhal border area came under fire from border guards, resulting in Ghaderpour’s death.
Over the past month, seven kolbars have been killed by border guards’ gunfire in the border regions of Sardasht in West Azerbaijan Province, and Baneh and Saqqez in Kurdistan Province.
