Security forces arrested Kurdish civilians Salim Zolgharneyn and Saber Zolgharneyn in the village of Hasan Nuran in Oshnavieh, West Azerbaijan Province, on 3 July and took them to an undisclosed location.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has learned that the security forces raided the homes of the two civilians and arrested them without a warrant.

On the same day, at least three other Kurdish civilians, Kamal Oghabi, Edris Karsaz and Mohammad Rasoulpour, were also arrested by security forces in Oshnavieh and taken to unknown locations, KHRN reported on 3 July.

Details of the charges against these individuals or their whereabouts remain unknown.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, at least 14 Kurdish civilians were arrested in June by security and judicial authorities on political charges in various cities in the provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah, West Azerbaijan and Razavi Khorasan. The status of some of these detainees remains unknown.
