Rebwar Rashidi, a tradesman from Baneh, Kurdistan Province, died on 21 July after spending two weeks in a hospital in Sanandaj, Kurdistan Province, as a result of serious injuries sustained in a shooting by Iranian border guards.

Rashidi was critically injured on 7 July in the Hangeh-ye Zhal border area of Baneh.

Following the incident, he was transferred to a medical facility in Sanandaj, where doctors amputated one of his legs at the knee.

Rashidi had been in a coma since the shooting and died of his injuries on 21 July.
