A young Kurdish civilian from Saqqez was saved from execution on 2 November morning following the leniency shown by the victim’s family, local sources told Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

Kamran Abdipour, was arrested about 15 years ago for “murder” and sentenced to retribution.

The attempts of civil activists to persuade the victim’s family to show leniency had begun with the news of the imminent execution of the prisoner several days ago.
