Over the past two weeks, dozens Kurdish civil and Guild activists in various cities of Kurdistan by security forces who also arrested several people.

According to the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN), security forces have summoned, interrogated and arrested at least 20 Kurdish citizens and activists (both Guild & civil) in several cities (including Sanandaj, Kermanshah, Ilam, Baneh, Saqqez, etc) following the strike on Sept 12, 2018 (in protest to the execution of four political prisoners and the Islamic Republic Guards Corps (IRGC) missile attack on the headquarters of the Kurdish parties in the Kurdistan region), the strike of marketers on Oct 8, 2018 in protest to the poor economic situation and inflation in addition to the 2-day sit-in of teachers on Oct 14.

Only in the past two days, four citizens from the village of Nay called Hamid Parvazeh, Mohsen Farahmand, Bareer Kaveh and Mohammad Fatah, and two citizens from Marivan called Caravan Ahmadi and Rahman Sadighi have been arrested by security forces and taken to an unknown location.

Moreover, a number of teachers were summoned, threatened and interrogated by the news headquarters of the Intelligence Bureau in various cities including Saqqiz, Mariwan, Kamyaran and Sanandaj following the sit-in of teachers mentioned above. Reports indicated that 7 teachers were summoned to the news headquarters only in Saqez while another teacher known as Mohammad Saleh Shokri was arrested. Only two of the summoned teachers have been identified including Seyyed Ali Hosseini and Suliman Abdi.
