Iranian border regiment has tortured and severely beaten five Kurdish kolbars with sticks and buttstocks near Issa Gulik village of Chaldoran in the border areas of West Azerbaijan province on the morning of 19 July.
A source in Chaldoran told the KHRN that the border regiment of Saqiz outpost under the command of a person named Sadeghzadeh stopped kolbars Jamal Hassanpour, Baran Hassanpour, Hossein Firouzi, Vali Moghimi, and Hamid Abdollahzadeh and “severely tortured” them.
Due to the severity of their injuries, Hamid Abdollahzadeh was transferred to a hospital in Maku, and the other four kolbars were taken to Chaldoran Hospital.
Also, on 16 July, the border forces had stopped a vehicle carrying several kolbars on the Doab Bridge in Nowsud, Kermanshah province, and had tortured kolbars Khalil Mahmoudi, Anwar Moradi, and Khalil Soleimani.
