Three kolbars have lost their lives in the past few days in Paveh, in Kermanshah province, and Sardasht, in West Azerbaijan province, in northwestern Iran.

During this period, two other kolbars have been wounded by Iranian border guards in the border areas of Paveh and Baneh, Kurdistan province.

On 14 February, a farmer named Azad Esmaeilpour fell from mountain heights in the border areas of Alvatan village of Sardasht and lost his life.

The 37-year-old kolbar, who comes from Kulseh village of Sardasht, was the father of two children.

Also, on 15 February, two kolbars named Chiako Taheri, 24, and Fardin Panahi, 25, lost their lives due to gas poisoning in a house in Paveh.

The young kolbars, who come from the Dalamarz village of Sarvabad in Kurdistan province, had rented a house in Paveh to work as kolbars in the Hawraman border areas due to unemployment.

In addition, on 15 February, a 33-year-old farmer named Farshad Rostamnezhad, from the village of Shamshir in Paveh, was shot and wounded by border forces in the Shushami border area of the city without prior notice.

Separately, on 16 February, border forces shot and wounded a kolbar named Saadi Zeini in the Sartazin border area in Baneh.
