Sources say Kurdish teacher Siavash Eini and Kurdish student Keyvan Andar have been transferred to the quarantine ward of Orumiyeh Central Prison after their interrogations at the detention centre of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Al-Mahdi base in Orumiyeh.

Siavash Eini, a teacher at Haj Abdullah Rostamzadeh Elementary School, was arrested on 31 January and Keyvan Andar, English language student at University of Tabriz, was arrested in late January by IRGC intelligence forces.

There are currently 12 Kurdish activists detained in Orumiyeh Central Prison. Azimeh Naseri is held in the women’s ward, Afshin Mam-Ahmadi, Fereydoun Musazadeh, Iman Abdi, Bahman Yousefzadeh, Siavash Eini, and Keyvan Andar are kept in quarantine ward, while Soran Hosseinzadeh, Sirwan Nouri, Shapol Khezri, Hossein Gardashi, and Farhad Musapour are in the ward for political prisoners.

Furthermore, at least 52 Kurdish activists are still in the detention centres of the intelligence office and the Intelligence Organisation of the IRGC in the cities of Orumiyeh, Sanandaj, and Marivan.
