One more Kurdish civilian that was detained during the latest wave of arrests of Kurds in Selin village of Kurdistan province, has been released on bail.


Fardin Adwai, one of the five arrested residents of the village, was released on bail from Marivan Prison on 16 March, after two months of detention, sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).


He had been arrested on 18 January, after being summoned to the Intelligence Office of Sarvabad. He was then transferred to the detention centre of the Intelligence Office of Marivan.


Security forces arrested five residents of Selin village, Akram Adwai, Siamak Adwai, Fardin Adwai, Behzad Adwai, and Abdolrahman Abdi, during the wave of arrests of Kurdish civilians and activists. So far, Akram Adwai, Behzad Adwai, and Fardin Adwai have been released on bail. Siamak Adwai and Abdolrahman Abdi are still being held in the detention centre of the Intelligence Office of Marivan.
