Iranian security forces have detained two Kurdish environmental activists Salah Hossein-Panah and Salar Salehi, and have taken them to an undisclosed location.

On 22 September, security forces arrested Salah Hossein-Panah on one of the streets of Baneh, Kurdistan province.

They took the activist to his home and confiscated some of his personal belongings after searching the house.

Also, on 27 September, forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) arrested Salar Salehi, an activist in Sanandaj.

They transferred him to one of the detention centres of the military-security institution.

Previously, Salehi was in charge of the environmental committee of the Sanandaj branch of the Kurdistan National Unity Party for a year.

There is yet no information on the reason for the arrests and whereabouts of the two environmental activists.
