Over the past few days, two Kolbars have been killed and one injured while crossing the border by Iranian border forces at the Orumiyeh and Nowsoud borders although they were not carrying any illegal cargo.

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that on Saturday, Sept 30, 2018 , the Iranian Military Force opened fire on a Kolbar called Shafi Mohammadpour from Sulwanah of Orumiyeh without a warning and he was seriously injured.

Moreover, on Monday, October 01, a group of the kolbars was targeted by the border guards at the same area. This resulted in the death of a 26-year-old kolbar called Akram Khalili Korani from the village of Koran in the Sooma and Brodost region of Orumiyeh.

“In the wake of the persistent systematic killings of kolbars, another kolbars was killed on Wednesday, Oct 03 by border guards at the Noosud region”, a local source told KHRN.

Azim Ahmadi abandoned dead body in the border mountains

According to the source, the Nosoud border guards in the border area of Sufi-i-Jin, opened fire on a young kolbar without prior warning and killed him on Wednesday night.

According to this source, the killed kolbar was called Azim Ahmadi, 42 years old, married from the village of Ashraf. The source further added that the border troops left the area after killing the kolbar, and the local people found the dead body after several hours of research.
